North Walsham > Bed & Breakfast (B&B) > Point House

Point House is a 200 year old traditional brick and flint farmhouse which emanates a very warm and homely yet peaceful ambiance, and can be found in a quiet single track lane less than half a mile from the Norfolk seafront and well stocked local stores, ideally located for a vast selection of places of interest to visit and holiday activities in which to participate. The adjoining maze of winding lanes offer stunning views and spectacular WILDLIFE (including a thirty head heard of Red Deer, Chinese Water Deer, Fallow Deer and muntjac who live within the adjoining woodlands here, along with otter, white pheasants, buzzards and kites) and for those who are keen on walking and biking, Bacton woods are located within 3 miles of the house and offer 100 acres of mapped tracks through beautiful undulating forestland. FOR THOSE WHO NEED TO STUDY OR WORK.... FREE WIFI IS OF COURSE AVAILABLE IN THE HOUSE.Numerous brochures of places of interest to visit are left for your use, along with a large wall mounted map to help to ensure your daily outings are no longer than you anticipate! Our greeting pack consists of local produce and homemade jams, the eggs are from our own chickens and the breads and pastries are baked locally. Our traditional full English breakfast uses meats sourced within a 5 mile radius, it doesn't come much more local than this! For those who wish to catch their own food, we can offer guests the chance to accompany a traditional Norfolk crab boat out to sea to haul in lobster and crab pots. We believe that we are the only Norfolk guest house who can offer this wonderful opportunity for guests to sample true Norfolk fishing life. Fresh fish and crabs are available to purchase during your stay (PLEASE ASK) depending on the seasonweather. Our accommodation comprises of a large farmhouse kitchen with quarry flooring (part of which is 200 years old) within which you are welcomed to make yourself at home and help yourself to the fridge contentstea and coffee, to enjoy within our lovely 30ft conservatory or comfortable snug. Our two woodburners ensure the house is never cold, and we have a range of DVD's for those wishing to simply 'relax and curl up in front of the fire'.Upstairs you will find 3 double bedrooms and one twin room (twin room only available for holiday booking parties of one week + and not available to bed and breakfast booking guests) All of our bed linens and towels are pure cotton, and our good quality beds will be sure to assist with a good night's sleep. There are two bathrooms within the property. The bed and breakfast service that I offer is based on the good old fashioned virtues of old English guest houses, believing that quality and simplicity come before quantity and gadgetry. My enthusiasm is derived from my own appreciation of my surroundings coupled with the pleasure I have meeting people. The incentive is thanks to the cast of 'Pirates of the Caribbean' for bringing me here in the first place.Bookings are available for parties of up to 8 persons or as few as two persons on either a self catering or a bed and breakfast basis depending on your requirements. Please do not hesitate to call us on 01692 651787 for availability regarding whole-house holiday bookings or for last minute bed and breakfast requests. Please be aware that all payment is dealt with at the property on arrival and STRICTLY in cash ONLY.
